Born in Ecuador, Eddie Sanyer moved to New York City in 1987, where he spent most of his 20-year career working in the beauty industry between the United States and Latin America. In 2004, he relocated to Dubai and managed the elite hair salon at the luxurious Burj Al Arab hotel for several years. With his strong technical expertise and broad range of experiences, he has further expanded his role to include session hairstyling, runway work and consulting. He also conducts training seminars throughout Europe, the Middle East and Asia, on behalf of the Italian company Framesi International.
Eddie was formally trained at New York’s acclaimed Wilfred Academy of Hair & Beauty Culture, and is licensed in Cosmetology. During his career, he has received advanced training from Jingles, Vidal Sassoon, Matrix, Sebastian, Patrick Cameron, Schwarzkopf America’s Professional Hair Designer Institute, Bumble and Bumble, and Clairol Professional (where he is also a member). Eddie continues to further his knowledge of the latest collections and techniques through ongoing coaching in London / Paris / New York , as well as Framesi International in Milan.
Eddie has developed his own unique style and often draws his inspirations from the exotic cultures, colors and styles of various places where he has lived, worked, and visited. His technical expertise and creativity have been instrumental in producing runway looks for the fashion shows of well-known international designers.
Eddie has also collaborated with a variety of top fashion photographers. His work has been often featured in advertising campaigns for global brands including Nayomi, Mikyajy, Nivea, Dubai One, Stila Make-up for Sephora, and Damas Middle East/India, as well as appeared in regional publications such as Emirates Woman, Marie Claire, L'Officiel MEA, Haya MBC, OK, Aquarius, Wedding, Arabian Woman, Emirates Bride, MOEments, Velvet, Friday, VIVA, Etc., Time Out Dubai, Enzo Fashion Catalog, and Palestyle Fashion Catalog.
