Bio

Mixing photography and digital manipulation, Rebecca Handler creates photo illustrations rich in details, mood and color. Her body of work often features cinematic scenes that draw upon the dreamlike and the mischievous, the audacious and the awkward. Using photography as a means to create her desired image, her uninhibited works exhibit a taste for the macabre as well as a nod to past eras and vintage aesthetics.

Rebecca’s art school training came via SUNY Purchase and the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. She lives and works in New York City, the perfectly surreal playground for a playfully surreal artist.
