I paint aerial snap shots of cities. I title that series of works "Topographicals".

Topographical series
of, relating to, or concerned with the artistic representation of a particular locality: I create seemingly abstract compositions, derived from aerial snapshots of cities. The choice of the colors, materials, the technique and intricate arrangement of each composition express qualities specific to the city it portrays.
The paintings’ topographic surfaces investigate aesthetics and visual language in association with a particular locality. In essence, they are portraits of places. They are experiential and experimental.

My first topographical is Cairo - my second New York, NY - through my art career I aspire to paint many cities (Sophia Bulgaria - Gaza - Amesterdam - Beirut - Darfur - Baghdad - ... ) each topographical is a visual documentation of an urban moment in our globalised world.
