Akiko lives and works in New York.
Born in Japan, she attended Parsons School of Design
and graduated with BFA in illustration major.

She has worked at apparel design companies for years,
designing textile prints and embellishments for various clothing lines.

Akiko loves 19th century Symbolism and Art Deco,
which hugely influenced on her paintings and illustration style.
Her paintings have exhibited in group/solo shows in New York and Tokyo.
