Alcine attended “The Center for Creative Studies” in Detroit Michigan. Her majors were Fashion Illustration, Life Drawing and Advertising layout.
She began her career as a fashion illustrator in Chicago where she worked directly for some of Chicago’s leading department and specialty stores before she moved to New York City.
In New York, Alcine, with the help of an agent, continued to work as a free lance fashion artist. She subsequently moved to Europe where she worked for newspapers and AD Agencies, in both Denmark and Germany.
From 1995 to 1997 Kuala Lumpur Malaysia was her home. There, Alcine was featured in the 1997 August issue of the MALAYSIA TATLER magazine where her creative talents were highlighted. After living abroad for 21 years, she has now returned to the United States and is presently living in Las Vegas.
Much of the work she does today is created on her computer, however she is comfortable in many traditional medias as well.
