INFO
Since 1998 Anja is a self employed illustrator working for publishers, newspapers, magazines, advertising agencies, and corporations such as British Petrol, BMW, Barclays, as well as non profits, NGO’s & cultural organizations such as museums, in various styles and techniques such as Colored Pencil, Digital, Gouache, Pencil, watercolor based upon customers’ needs and desires. Her work can be serious and straight forward or an expression of her unique own style: Colorful and catchy, surprising, lovely and passionate with a special heart for humurous details and a view for the big picture.
HIGHLIGHTS
One of Anja’s key projects is the development of a 5-volume book for the Publisher PRESTEL, one of the world's leading illustrated book publishers. Although her focus within this project is on numerous book illustrations, character design and a comic book, she is also responsible for the idea, concept (together with Karin Schmidl), graphic design, character design, and delivery of printed materials. Meanwhile the third book "BUDDHISMUS" is available. In addition, Germany’s prestigious newspaper DIE ZEIT printed more than 30 of Anja’s most beloved unconventional, full coloured illustrations in the launch issue of their special magazine targeting young adults who want to become university students.
Germany’s leading publisher TASCHEN voted Anja in the top “150 ... today's best commercial and editorial illustrators from over 50 countries”.*
