You can browse Dripbook's index, find creatives, and show off all your public books on an interface built specifically for mobile screens. And, yeah, that's a screenshot of Dripbook video playing on the Android. More news about that soon.

Dripbook and WIN-Initiative, a boutique stock agency, are joining forces to provide the imaging industry with fresh, innovative and relevant content.

For buyers of creative content, this partnership will offer new and fresh sources of material from image-makers worldwide who use Dripbook's promotional services.

For Dripbook creatives, this partnership will offer new opportunities to market their work through WIN-Initiative's image licensing and distribution channels.

Have questions? Here are some answers:

Q: Are all the images displayed on Dripbook available for sale through WIN-Initiative?

A: Definitely not. Each creative has the option to participate, and each creative has the option to choose which images to submit. Additionally, all images must meet WIN-Initiative's requirements.

Q: I'm a big fan of the work displayed on Dripbook. Where can I find the images that are for sale through this partnership?

A: WIN-Initiative will create a collection within WIN called the "WIN-Dripbook Collection." Please stay tuned for the release of this collection.

Q: I'm a creative using Dripbook's promotional services, and I'd like to take advantage of this partnership. How?

Dripbook made a Facebook auto-posting application.

We have added functionality to our Facebook Application that will significanly increase exposure of your books. Dripbook can now automatically post a "status update" to your Facebook feed each time you add or modify a book on Dripbook. We include four small thumbnail images in the post. It looks great and it alerts all those you're friends with on Facebook that you have new work.

Here's how to install it:

1) If you haven't done so already, install Dripbook's Facebook Application. If you've already done this, you can skip ahead. For those who haven't, here's an FAQ page with information.

2) Head to your Controls > Promote > Post to Facebook.

3) You'll need to give Facebook permission for us to make automatic posts. Once you do this, you can hit the "Post NOW" box, and that will immediately fire off a post of your most recently updated book. Otherwise, keep the "Post Book Updates?" box checked, and we'll take care of the automatic posting.

You're done! When you update a book on Dripbook, we'll post a notice on a slightly delayed basis (to make sure you're really finished with the update!). Also, only one notice per 24 hours per book will be posted, to avoid spamming your feed.

Oh, and become a fan of Dripbook on Facebook, too.

We just received word that Dripbook has been awarded "Best in Class" in the 2009 Interactive Media Awards in the Arts/Culture category. We're pretty stoked.

And while we'd love to sit around congratulating ourselves, we'd like to mention to all the creatives using Dripbook that we received our best scores for the "Content" portion of the judging (tied with "Feature Functionality"). Dripbook offers three new templates for exported Dripbook Sites.

Okay. They are finally designed, developed, tested, and now released. Dripbook offers three new, cutting-edge, beautifully designed Flash Website templates.

Thumbnail Bold:

A bold design brings graphic life to this template. Easy next / back navigation with a horizontal row of thumbnails below large images.

The Filmstrip:

Large images elegantly slide back and forth wtih a filmstrip theme. Navigational elements are minimal and refined.

The Floater:

Large images, very minimal navigation, and a moveable menu allow for a unique viewing experience with this template.

And here's a link to a gallery of 100 examples of Websites exported using all six of Dripbook Sites' Templates.

To use these new templates, head to the Export section and select Dripbook Sites.

A few notes:

1) You'll need to re-export your index.html file to change templates.

2) These new templates display larger images, so be sure you've uploaded images at least 1,500px on the longest side to take full advantage.

3) Viewers with Flash 10 installed (version 10 of the Flash plugin) will be able to access a full screen display of these new templates. This function is disabled for viewers with Flash 9.

We've made a new way to customize your genre(s) on Dripbook. If you make work within one genre that is best broken up into a few groups, this is for you. For example, if you're a photographer and you shoot advertising and editorial work, you can break up and present your books into customized genres.

Also, if you export a Dripbook Site, these customized genres will also appear as separate groups on your exported Dripbook Site.

Here's how it works:

Head to your Controls > Settings > Genres. Add genre(s) with the drop-down menu selections, and add custom name(s). If you're adding or removing genre(s), take special note of how the system will re-assign books.

In the Organize section, head to the Sort Books + Publish tab to rearrange your books and genres. It's all drag-and-drop. Drag your books and genres to arrange them as you'd like. Then hit "Publish" and you're all set.

Dripbook made a Twitter auto-posting application > UPDATED.

Dripbook has a new way to automatically alert your Twitter feed (and all those following you on Twitter) when you make updates on Dripbook. This is another great way to improve your exposure and to keep others up-to-date on your new work.

UPDATED : As expected, Twitter has made an adjustment to their system. So, you no longer need to enter your Twitter username and password within your Dripbook account. You can just authenticate and go. Details are below.

Here's how it works (it's super simple):

1) Consider following Dripbook on Twitter. You don't have to, but it's a great way to stay in touch. And, we like you...

2) Head to your Controls > Promote > Post to Twitter

3) Register your Twitter account on Dripbook and allow Dripbook to post to your Twitter account.

4) You're done. You can even cusomize the message that goes out before the link to your updated work.

Dripbook's automatic posts to Twitter are fired off on a delayed basis after you make an update. We do this because we know that you make many small changes each time you update a book - so rather than overwhelm Twitter, we send out one update per 24 hours when we see you've changed your book.

You can, though send an instant update via the provided check box.

A quick word about security. PLEASE READ THIS. Thanks.

Firstly, there's no cause for alarm. We're not aware of any security breach. But we do want to share a quick word with you all about online security in regards to your Dripbook accounts.

Dripbook makes every reasonable effort to protect your data on Dripbook. However, the internet, as you all know, is full of all kinds of people. So, to prevent any future breach of security on Dripbook, here are a few things to keep in mind.

1) We will never ask you for your password ever. Don't give us your password. While you're at it, don't ever give anyone your Dripbook password.

2) Treat your account on Dripbook with security in mind. Sign out when you're done with a session on Dripbook if you're using a public or shared computer. Don't share your login information. Change your password from time to time. You can do that in your Controls > Settings > Password.

3) If you ever see a page requesting your Dripbook login information and you suspect something is strange, STOP and contact us. We'll look into it. To date, the only approved application online that requests your Dripbook login information (for optional services) is our Facebook Application.

Thanks for your time. As the saying goes, an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.

New templates for exported Dripbook Sites. UPDATE.

Okay. So you all picked your choices of which new templates we should add to our ever-popular exported Dripbook Sites feature.

We're going to be producing designs 2, 4, and 5. We'll keep the original three, bringing the total to six.

So, as soon as we're done with producing these three new templates, you'll be able to export your portfolios on Dripbook and create a custom Web site using these three new templates. You'll be able to customize many aspects of the templates - colors, styles, etc.

If you are interested in testing out early versions of the new templates, please email us. We're closing comments on the blog post because there are already so many. So, if you're interested in testing one or more of the three new templates, email us and tell us which templates (use the concept numbers listed below) you're interested in testing. Thanks.

Here are the finalist designs we'll be producing:

CONCEPT #2:

The idea behind this concept is to minimize the elements for the navigation, leaving the photography to be by itself. The navigation has been place within a compact element represented by a next and previous arrow and a thumbnails icon.

When the user clicks on the thumbnail icon the menu expands to view the genres/books and thumbnails for each book. The collapsed version of the navigation will follow the users mouse around for easy access to the menu.

CONCEPT #4:

This concept uses a very bold navigation, in both the top nav elements and the gallery arrows. It’s an evenly spaced layout, with room for the thumbnails below the viewed photo at all times. Thumbnail strip contains all the photos within a book and will be mouse gesture activated. Moving the mouse to the right, thumbnails move to the left and vice versa. Genres are list at the top, hovering over them reveal books within each genre.

CONCEPT #5:

Concept 5 is meant to function and feel like a film reel. It gives the user a clear idea of what photo is selected, but also shows previous and next photos at 25% opacity.

The navigation first shows all genres, once a genre is selected by the user the first tier of navigation moves up and reduces its opacity to make room for the second tier.

The navigation of photos would be a grab and scroll, pulling the reel left and right. It would also have an added hover and scroll functionality.

We asked Nissa Quanstrom to recall some of her most interesting professional moments. Wrangling 20 live turtles to find the most "attractive" to mixing it up with a vintage 12 foot tall casino slot machine nicknamed "Bertha" Nissa approaches each project with a seasoned air. She has had the pleasure of working with some of the most recognizable names in the field and you can find her work in Glamour, Real Simple, and Esquire.

• A valid credit card is required for all account types on Dripbook - even those initially paying with a gift certificate. All account types and subscription levels on Dripbook are set up to auto-renew via credit card at the end of the payment schedule.
• It is the responsibility of the purchaser of a gift certificate to ensure that the intended recipient of the gift certificate receives the gift certificate code for use on Dripbook.

Terms for redeeming a Dripbook gift certificate:

We just heard some great news from Jacob at Holocore / uVerse - the man behind PictureSync. He let us know that PictureSync will be free on Christmas day.

What's PictureSync? PictureSync is a really great program for easily uploading images into your Dripbook account. It's Mac only, but there's a PC version on the way. PictureSync does all the nasty work of uploading for you. It converts, flattens, compresses and uploads your pictures for you. Just drag and drop. Read more about PictureSync and how to use it with Dripbook here.

According to the Holocore blog:

"On Christmas day (wherever you are) simply launch PictureSync, choose 'Licence…' from the PictureSync menu and then click 'Licence Details'.

The licence will remove the limit on the number of accounts you can use at once. It will be valid for use with Pro apps (Aperture/xMedia) in current versions only. (Meaning in future versions if you want to continue using it with Pro apps you may need to purchase an upgrade.)"

Sergio Kurhajec had this to say about it: "PictureSync is awesome! Best 15 bucks I have ever spent" - and now you don't have to spend anything.

Use Components to export your books to another Web site.

Here's a feature that's been around for a while, even though not all users know about it:

Dripbook's Components are a simple, yet highly versatile feature allowing you to export the your books in HTML format to another Web site. You can even construct your own personal, custom designed Web site around these Dripbook Components. What's best - the Components will always stay updated - change a book on Dripbook and your exported Components will change instantly.

Using Dripbook's Components will require you or a Web designer to know how to integrate the HTML code of your exported books from Dripbook into your Web site. This is a great option for those who want even more personal control and customization options.

To use Dripbook's Components, head to Export > Components. You'll need a *Pro or *Premium account to use this feature.

Here are two great examples of Components in use.

1) Nick Pironio built his Web site - http://pironio.com/ - around Dripbook Components using the "Simple Horizontal Slider" Component style:

Here's what he had to say about using Dripbook's Components:

"It took me almost two years to get the site up and working. The majority of that time was spent on how I was going to be able to display my images in a more fluid way that would allow me to change the order and or replace images with out having to mess with image sizing and HTML every time I wanted to update (which is going to be frequent). So thanks for creating Dripbook and its components because with out it I would probably still be searching."

2) Holly Jones built her Web site - http://www.hollyjones.com/ - around Dripbook Components using "Dripbook's Large Thumbnails" Component style:

Dripbook Sites Improved Again - Dripbook Goes Full Screen.

There's now a small checkbox that makes a big change in our popular exported Dripbook Sites. Dripbook now offers a full-screen display for each of our three Dripbook Sites templates.

This new feature is simple. With the new full-screen display, the presentation area of the exported Dripbook Sites will expand to fill the screen of the viewer.

Check below for three funcitonal examples of exported Dripbook sites that use the new full-screen funciton:

To use this feature, head to the Export section, go to Dripbook Sites, choose your template, and in the configuration settings, look for the "Full Screen" checkbox.

You will need to *RE-EXPORT* your index.html file to your Web host using the functions provided in Step 4 for the full-screen setting to take effect.

The new full-screen display will NOT expand images beyond the size Dripbook sends out - images will NOT be scaled larger. If a viewer has a very large screen, the images will only scale to an upper limit determined by the size of the images Dripbook delivers.

Likewise, the full-screen exported Dripbook Site template will only scale down to a reasonable size, beyond which the presentation window may cease to funciton well.

On October 10th, 2007, Dripbook opened our doors. That makes us one year old today.

Our steady and strong growth around the world is directly thanks to you. So, pop open a bottle of beer or champagne or milk and celebrate what you all have contributed to.

September 24th, 2008:

Dripbook sends out our first monthly "Featured in Dripbook" newsletter to ad agencies, art directors, art buyers and others who are keeping their eyes on Dripbook.

The newsletters will continue on a monthly basis.

September 8th, 2008:

Dripbook launches a Facebook application that allows you to display your public books on Dripbook inside your Facebook profile.

With the "new" Facebook layout, you can add a Dripbook "Tab" in your Facebook profile to create a really great display of your books on Dripbook.

September 1st, 2008:

Dripbook is featured in the pioneering fashion-focused Zink Magazine.

"Complete with a snappy layout, this online resource is a visual treat." We couldn't agree more.

July 15th, 2008:

Dripbook launches our new home page, streamlining the "Browse" functions and opening a new split-screen world map view of the artists on Dripbook. It is easier-than-ever for clients to find artists needed for jobs.

Dripbook also launches a new About Dripbook section to better explain all of our features.

July 1st, 2008:

Dripbook emerges out of BETA testing with a new set of account types and pricing.

Prices are frozen for artists who assisted Dripbook during the BETA testing phase.

May 19th, 2008:

Dripbook announces improvements to the popular Dripbook Sites program that allows artists to export customized Web sites powered by their Dripbook portfolios.

Improvements include custom logos, custom external links, and Google tracking.

April 27th, 2008:

Dripbook is awarded the Gold Prize (the top prize) in the Horizon Interactive Awards.

April 26th, 2008:

Dripbook is featured in Picture Magazine and in Resource Magazine.

April 13th, 2008:

March 17th, 2008:

Dripbook announces "our most bad-ass feature" - Dripbook Sites.

December 28th, 2007:

Dripbook announces improved displays on Dripbook. Both the "Left-Right Slider" and the "Thumbnails" displays are made larger and cleaner. And, a pre-loader is added to the "Thumbnails" display to make the viewing experience even smoother.

November 6th, 2007:

Dripbook announces our Widgets feature - export your books on Dripbook as portable Flash-based widgets. Slap 'em on your blogs or social networking sites.

And, when you change your books on Dripbook, your exported Widgets automatically change. Cool.

October 10th, 2007:

Dripbook is open to the public after a four month closed testing period. Dripbook immediately begins growing worldwide.
