Dripbook releases five new responsive HTML5 website designs - Left Slider, Left Thumbnails, FilmGrid Filmstrip, Style Tile, and Simple Thumbnails.

As many of you know, we've been on a bit of a tear lately developing and releasing responsive HTML5 designs for exported websites. These new designs utilize the most modern web technology and are optimized for display on iPhones and Android phones, tablets like the iPad, desktop computers, and even large monitors. As with all exported displays, these new websites automatically synchronize themselves with your Dripbook account.

Back in December of 2012, we released our first two designs for exported websites using responsive HTML5 technology. Then in February of this year, we released three more responsive HTML5 designs. And today, we're happy to double the number of responsive HTML5 designs we offer by releasing five more.

If you've been thinking of upgrading an older design, now is a great time. You can change the design of your exported website anytime, and these new designs are easy to use. And if you have any questions, you can always get in touch with us to get help.

These new designs offer the following features :

• All HTML5 - no Flash, no plugins needed
• Full bleed Splash images plus large display for images and video
• Disabled righ-click for viewer to save or copy images
• Responsive design means the website shrinks to fit on iPads and iPhones, expands to fit large monitors
• Responsive design means navigation automatically adapts to work on iPhones and Android phones
• No mobile re-directs - all links work on all devices
• Deep linking of URL web address - send links to individual genres or portfolios
• Sharing enabled for individual images on individual portfolios - share to Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Tumblr, Linkedin + Email
• Track individual views in real time with Google Analytics
• Use a custom logo with transparent background to display over images
• Use custom Google fonts
• Use the computer's keyboard arrows to advance images (for designs like the Left Thumbnails where images can progress next and back)

The FilmGrid Filmstrip (HTML5) design :

Responsive HTML5 design optimized for desktop, tablet and mobile. Genres open to a full page presented with all the portfolios "open" showing a wide range of work right away. Portfolio images are presented as a filmstrip. Clicking an image from the small thumbnails on the FilmGrid takes the viewer directly to that image in the portfolio.

Responsive HTML5 design optimized for desktop, tablet and mobile. A modern design with portfolios presented as uncropped images arranged in vertical columns. Main images are presented with next + back selections.

These new responsive HTML5 designs are built for modern browsers, so they won't work in older browsers like Internet Explorer 8. You are welcome to continue using the previous Flash designs - it's up to you.

Now let's get on to the funner part - how do you use these new designs?

Head to QuickNav > Export > Exported Websites, choose one of the designs, configure it, and export your new design to your web host.

Here are some important details when thinking about using the new designs:

• We highly recommend creating and uploading a custom logo with a transparent background. Check this FAQ with detailed instructions.

• Dripbook's new designs operate best with larger images. We are now asking that you upload images at least 2,000px high. Smaller images will work but may not look as good.

• Dripbook's new designs work best with high definition video - We are continuing to ask that you upload video at 720p or 1080p.

• Dripbook's new designs use larger Splash images and work ideally with Splash page images of a horizontal aspect ratio. We suggest that you upload Splash images from 3,500px wide by 2,000 px high to 3,000px wide by 2,000 px high. You are free to try any sizes you'd like.

We're still hard at work cranking out new responsive HTML5 designs and today we're happy to release three more. These new designs are optimized for all screens - laptops, iPads, iPhones, Android phones, and large desktop monitors.

Twitter posts from Dripbook improved to include image and video previews.

Dripbook offers two great ways to integrate with Twitter, and both just got better. We've worked with Twitter to include image and video previews along with any post from Dripbook to Twitter.

Posts made from Dripbook to Twitter can now include an image or video preview, your name, your Twitter account information, and a link to the portfolio. So viewers to Twitter now get a much more rich experience viewing your work and are now much more likely to follow through to your portfolios on Dripbook. And videos from Dripbook can even be played direcly inside the Twitter application, even on mobile!

Here's more information about the two ways you can integrate Twitter into your promotion on Dripbook :

The first is to simply list your Twitter account in your Dripbook profile. To use this feature, head to your Controls > Settings > General Info and include your Twitter @username. That's all you need to do.

The second - on a more snazzy level - is to use Dripbook's custom Twitter Application that can send automatic updates to your Twitter account each time you add or update a portfolio on Dripbook. To use this feature, head to Controls > Promote > Twitter and allow Dripbook to post to your Twitter account.

Dripbook releases updated + totally rebuilt iPad + iPhone App.

We're proud to anounce a totally rebuilt, updated iPad and iPhone App - free for all portfolio accounts on Dripbook. As many of you know, we released our first iOS App early last year. It works well, but we wanted to improve it.

The biggest improvement we made is drastically improving how the App stores images and video for offilne viewing - the new App does a much better job than before. You can take your iPad or iPhone to an importrant portfolio review and not have to worry about local internet access - images and video are stored on the device in a much more stable way.

The App now downloads all your images and video when you first open the App. Then, each time you open it in the future, it will automatically syncronize itself with your Dripbook portfolio.

The App now loads larger images on the iPad, and graphics in general were updated for Retina displays. We also added additional share functions - share images via email, Facebook, Twitter, and Tumblr.

Dripbook's new updated iPad and iPhone App can be downloaded from iTunes. If you already installed the previous App, you should check for an automatic update.

One note - if you normally use 3G or 4G cellular data to connect your iPhone or iPad, you may want to be on Wifi the first time you open the App. The App has the potential of downloading a lot of data when it's opened for the first time.

Two easy ways to promote on Facebook.

Dripbook created two easy ways you can promote your portfolio within Facebook. With 500+ zillion users, no one can deny the importance of promoting on Facebook. So, let's cover these two options and explain which you should use (you can do both).

Option 1 - create a mini website within a Facebook Fan page. This option is for those who would like to promote their work within a Facebook Fan Page (one set up specifically for your business). This option requires a Pro or Premium account on Dripbook.

Here's what it looks like :

Option 2 - set up Dripbook's Facebook application to send automatic updates to a Facebook personal profile. This option is for those who would like to promote their portfolio within a personal Facebook profile (the standard / regular Facebook account). All account levels on Dripbook are welcome to use this feature - Standard, Pro, and Premium.

We added a new HTML5 uploader for Chrome, Firefox + Safari.

We added a new HTML5 uploader for browsers that support the technology, currently Google's Chrome and Mozilla's Firefox. The uploader allows for drag-and-drop adding of images and video to the upload queue as well as an updated, non-Flash uploading mechanism for multiple files. We think it's pretty cool.

We'll be updating the uploader to include it for other browsers as soon as they update to use the required HTML5 APIs.

Our uploader is built to convert and re-size your images and video for you. We can take in images and video in just about any non-proprietary format. We ask for images that are at least 2,000 pixels high and video that is 720p or larger. So beyond uploading large and good looking images and video, don't worry about doing a bunch of annoying resizing and re-formatting. Let our diligent robot do the work instead. Here's some FAQs with more information.

UPDATED : : Create a mini-website in a Facebook Fan Page.

For those of you who have been clients with Dripbook for a year or more, you'll be familiar with this App already, and with our ever constant updating of the App to keep up with Facebook's own ever contstant (and confusing)) changes. For those of you who are new clients, that's no matter. In either case, we've updated this feature once again, and the instructions below are current - and more simple! Plus, Facebook has (for now at least) decided to let the App run larger on your Page, which is cool.

Create a mini-website inside a Facebook Fan Page. This feature requires a Pro or Premium account with Dripbook.

Here's an example, by Eric Townsend. Check out his mini-website in his Facebook Fan Page, powered by his books on Dripbook.

To create a mini-website in a Facebook Fan Page :

1) Head to the Promote tab of your Dripbook Controls and select the Facebook sub-tab - Controls > Promote > Facebook.
2) Look for the "For Your Facebook Page" section on the right - click the Add the Dripbook Fan Page App to your Facebook Page" button.
3) You'll then be prompted by Facebook to select which Page you'd like to install the App.
4) Head to Facebook, and load up your page. Look for the "DB icon" under your page's name, to the right.
5) If you've used this App in the past, you should see your mini-site loading. If this is your first time installing this App, you'll need to confirm your Dripbook username - enter your Dripbook username.
6) You're done!

Optional - If you want to change the name of the tab to be something other than "Portfolio", click the "Manage > Edit Page" link on the top of your Page, navigate the "Apps" in the left-hand column, click "Edit Settings " under the "Dripbook - Fanpage" application, edit the "Custom Tab Name" section and hit "Okay".

Please note that this function is for a Facebook Fan Page. Check out these instructions to send automatic updates from Dripbook to your Facebook personal profile.

Dripbook releases Android App - free for all Dripbook subscribers.

Dripbook is happy to release a free Android App designed to display your personal portfolio on your Android phone. The App is similar in look, feel, and function to our popular iPad + iPhone app, also free for all subscribers. So now, all Android phones (we hope), iPads, iPhones, and iPod Touches are all transformed into mobile portfolio presentations.

Download Dripbook's Android App for free and try it out on your Android phone.

Dripbook's Android App is designed to store your portfolio for offline use so that you can display your work even without a network connection. This feature works great on image portfolios - once you view each image portfolio, the images are stored locally on your phone. Right now, the video storage feature hasn't been fully implemented, so videos play on-demand via your network connection but are not stored locally on your phone. We intend to bring on this feature for a future release.

Dripbook announces four new exported website designs.

We're proud to announce four totally new designs for exported websites. These new designs were re-built from the ground up and feature fresh looks as well as new functionalities including full-bleed Splash page images, larger images for larger monitors, and larger video displays.

So let's get on to the fun part - what do these new designs look like?

The FilmGrid Slider (Flash) design :

Each genre is presented with all the books "open" showing a wide range of work right away. Main images are presented with a slider.

The Left Select (Flash) design :

Navigation is a column to the left. Books are displayed with thumbnails first. Main images are presented with next + back selections.

The Key Select (Flash) design :

All books are presented visually using the book's key image. Main images are presented with next + back selections and thumbnails.

The Key Slider (Flash) design :

All books are presented visually using the book's key image. Main images are presented with a slider.

Looking for more examples? Here's 100+ examples of websites using all 12 of Dripbook's designs for exported websites.

These four new designs offer all the same features of the previous designs - your portfolio created on Dripbook can be presented as a stand-alone, personal, customized website. Your exported website automatically updates itself anytime you update your Dripbook porfolio. And the exported websites have custom mobile displays for iPads, iPhones, and Android phones as well as custom backends optimized for search engines.

Now let's get on to the funner part - how do you use these new designs?

Head to QuickNav > Export > Exported Websites, choose one of the designs, configure it, and export your new design to your web host.

Here are some important details when thinking about using these new designs:

• Dripbook's new web designs operate best with larger images. We are now asking that you upload images at least 2,000px high. Smaller images will work but may not look as good.

• Dripbook's new web designs work best with high definition video - We are continuing to ask that you upload video at 720p or 1080p.

• Dripbook's new web designs use larger Splash images and work ideally with Splash page images of a certain aspect ratio. We suggest that you upload Splash images from 3,500px wide by 2,000 px high to 3,000px wide by 2,000 px high. You are free to try any sizes you'd like.

• If you'd like to make a logo with a transparent background as shown here, check this FAQ with detailed instructions.

We made a (new) Facebook App (again).

It's become like a broken record (that somehow sounds okay). Facebook changed their system (again) so we updated our system (again) and added some fun new features. We've had a Facebook App for a while. But now it's better and works (again) with Facebook (until they change again).

Check out Dripbook's new Facebook App. You can set up automatic posting to your Facebook Profile each time you add or update a portfolio on Dripbook. You can also manually select a portfolio - including video - and post it right away. And video plays right inside Facebook, powered from your Dripbook account.

You most likely need to authenticate with Facebook, even if you have already in the past. If you see the blue "Connect with Facebook" button, then you need to do just that:

Once you've connected, you can set up your posting options and select a portfolio to post right away:

We made a (new) Tumblr App.

We love Tumblr. So do many of you - it's a great way to share imagery and video. We had an application before to post work from Dripbook to Tumblr, but we decided to make it way better.

Check out Dripbook's new Tumblr App. You can set up automatic posting to your Tumblr each time you add or update a portfolio on Dripbook. You can also manually select a portfolio - including video - and post it right away. With image books, you can choose which format you'd like to post - one, two, or three images at a time. And video plays right inside Tumblr, powered from your Dripbook account.

You may remember that last month we announced new share buttons on Dripbook, including one for Tumblr. These buttons work great - they are meant for visitors to your pages on Dripbook. The new Tumblr App announced today is meant for you, and it gives you more control and automation features.

We added share buttons for Tumblr and Google+, video plays inside Tumblr and Facebook, more to come.

We've updated the "Share" functions for every portfolio on Dripbook. These share buttons, found at the lower right of any portfolio display, allow you or anyone else to share content to Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Tumblr, and Google+

Each of these buttons runs a custom script we made specifically for each chanel - nothing generic here. Content shared from Dripbook always carries along the name of the artist and a link back to the work. Video can be played natively inside Tumblr and Facebook (pretty cool!).

These tools are meant more for clients and the browsing public to share work on Dripbook. However, those with Dripbook accounts can use these tools to share their own work as well.

We are working on further tools oriented towards those with Dripbook accounts to have custom abilities from the back-end to auto-post to these networks. We already have (very popular) custom Apps for Facebook and Twitter and we're working on a custom App for Tumblr.

Keep an eye out for further developments, and have fun sharing work on Dripbook.

Check out some statistical information about the views to your portfolio on Dripbook. Yeah, we know that staring at numbers is about as interesting as filing your taxes. However, unlike paying the government, checking your Dripbook stats can help you get a better idea of how your promotional efforts are paying off.

And since the Stats feature was first released, we've added a "Source" function to let you know where your viewers are coming from.

To improve your visibility, check the new Promotion Progress page, and download this PDF on Tips for Best Success. Both are guaranteed to improve your visibility.

The information on your stats page is updated through through the day but the information itself is delayed by 24 hours. So check back tomorrow for how your efforts today paid off!
