Carmelo was raised in a traditional Italian household in Montreal.
He first became interested in photography while snowboarding and
skateboarding. His fascination with the photographic styles of these sports
led him to study photography at Dawson College in Montreal and later
at Ryerson University in Toronto. From Canada, he traveled to Thailand
where he practiced documentary photography, earning him two awards
in travel photography and documentary photography from the prestigious
Prix Lux Photography competition.

Inspired by music, fashion, and everyday people, he ultimately fell in love
with fashion photography and moved to New York City where he currently
resides. His diverse background in various forms of photography, and his
perfectionist focus on lighting and composition, all help to create a unique
perspective and truly exceptional and beautiful work.

His clients include Hyundai, Tequila Communication & Marketing,
YM Inc, Stitches, and J.McLaughlin among others.
