I want to inspire people to challenge apathy but at the same time not take themselves too seriously. I try to explore the boundaries of street art and bridge the gap between traditional “gallery art” and street art. I use printmaking, street art, and mixed media techniques to challenge the pervasive apathy in our society. In doing so, I focus on events such as the Holocaust and frequently use the “taboo” medium that is spray paint. I don’t want my work to be defined as “graffiti-esque” but rather as a synthesis of design and non-traditional mediums and techniques. I use spray paint not because it is “urban” or “trendy” but because it automatically challenges and interests people regardless of its connotations.
