Emily Ansel is an NYC based Makeup Artist and a member of Local 798 Makeup & Hair Union, I.A.T.S.E.

Emily has been fortunate to further her skills while working as Assistant Makeup Artist to Mary Phillips for celebrities Jennifer Lopez, Salma Hayek, and Jessica Simpson for many projects including American Idol, Glamour Magazine/Tous Ads shot by Elle Von Unwerth, Roberto Cavalli shot by Mert and Marcus, Grown Ups press for Letterman, Regis and Kelly, Late Night with Jimmy Fallon and many more.

Emily has equal experience with film, fashion, tv, and theatre. She has been the department head/key artist for films, worked for TV networks such as BRAVO, LOGO, and MTV2, CW11, worked on commercials for JC Penney, Captain Morgan’s, AVON, MACY's allowing her to work with such celebrities as Jonathan Groff, Lee Arenberg, Judy Gold, Lauren Pritchard, Lloyd Kaufman, Jay Thomas, Jayne Wisener, Gilbert Godfried, and Donna Murphy.

She has been thrilled to be involved on such films as Detachment (directed by Tony Kaye with Adrian Brody, Christina Hendricks, Marcia Gay Harden, and Blythe Danner) Dark Horse (directed by Todd Solondz with Mia Farrow, Christopher Walken, Justin Bartha, and Donna Murphy) and Yelling to the Sky (directed by Victoria Mahoney with Zoe Kravitz, and Gabourey Sidibe).
