Akbar Ahmed, a prominent Islamic scholar and professor at American University, is in Houston for a project on Muslims in America. Ahmed and four students traveled through the Muslim world and wrote a book, “Journey from Islam: The Crisis of Globalization.” He is now interviewing Muslim-Americans across the U.S. for a new book.
