Julio was born in Quito, Ecuador. At age six his family moved to NYC where he grew up in Brooklyn and graduated from New Utrecht High School in Bensonhurst. His photographic journey started by pure serendipity. In the year 2002 after recovering from a mountain climbing accident he began to dabble in photography. Eventually he took an interest in fashion and from then on he has been on a journey of learning and discovery. He has worked in Miami, NYC, Paris, India, Argentina, Ecuador and currently for the past 2 years in Sao Pauo, Brazil. He dedicates himself to photographing and working with clients for editorial, advertising and commercials around the world.
