I’ve worked as a staff illustrator/designer at newspapers in CA, ME, and PA, as well as a design studio art director. Previously, my first editorial job was in 2nd grade; the gripping tale, The Autobiography of a Bean (unfairly overlooked work). The Kellogg's Stick Up for Breakfast Contest was a cake walk after that.
In 2001 I helped open Fan Works Design, while pursuing illustration inside and outside of Fan Works, working with folks such as Richmond Magazine, Rodale Press, Scholastic, Wall Street Journal and ChildFund International. My work has appeared in HOW, Innovative Promotions that Work, and I've shown work at exhibitions by the Illustrators Club of Washington DC, MD, and VA and the Richmond Illustrators Club.
I also volunteer at WRIR lp 97.3 FM in Richmond, VA…"Radio For The Rest Of Us." I'm acting Program Director and host of Sunrise Ocean Bender, Mondays 1 – 3 a.m.
