Lauren Devon Freelance Photographer based in Los Angeles, CA.
If I chose one word to describe my intention behind the camera it would be: connection. I am compelled to shoot as a way of engaging with, and capturing life experiences.
I am interested in what is authentic, real, and alive in a subject. I work to find the heart of a story, person, or place and capture qualities that are surprising, intimate, transformative, and joyful.
While I began my career as a fine art photographer, the collaborative nature of shooting assignments drew me to editorial and commercial work. I love aligning with and working alongside a creative team of talented people to accomplish a shared vision.
My work has been published in C Magazine, This Old House, Garden Design, Dwell, Elle, The Wrap, Westside magazine, Southbay, Ventura Boulevard.
Additional clients include: Triton Museum of Art, Holmes & Yang, SussieCakes, Fiona Hutton Associates, Liz Lang Productions, Xenith Helmets, Design Focus Landscape Architecture, Robson Homes Inc., Wilson-Miller Communications.
I also enjoy contributing photography to organizations making a positive impact in the world and shoot for the Los Angeles Surfrider Chapter, as well as Taproot Foundation.
