Nestled in the shadows of the iconic Christ the Redeemer statue and the Sugarloaf Mountain in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil lays the sleepy fishing harbor of the Quadrado du Urca. In 2012, Maxine and NYC based artist Nicolina transformed this space into a floating gallery of art. With the help of 45 artists from around the world, they painted the tops of the fishing boats with spectacular murals. FlutuArte explores art in public spaces and how it can transform the community that owns it.
