Jorell Legaspi is one of Qatar's most sought-after fashion and portrait photographers. Born and raised in the Gulf, and having lived in the Philippines and Africa, Jorell naturally developed a creative approach that transcends different tastes and cultures.
His career began in music marketing and media relations, working for record label, BMG Records (now Sony Music), in the Philippines. He later moved on to cultural affairs at the Alliance Francaise de Manille, where close ties and participation in the bustling art community inspired him to pursue photography and visual communication. He returned to Qatar in 2005 and served as Head of Creative Design and Photography Services at The Art of Business, a reputed marketing communications and publishing company in Doha.
Jorell is currently the Creative Head of Communications at Mathaf: Arab Museum of Modern Art, a groundbreaking institution that inspires new ways of thinking about art from the Arab world. He also contributes to Middle East editions of Esquire and Harper's Bazaar.
