Akiko Kato is a Japanese illustrator who resides in New York. Her creation skills have strengthened while working in busy apparel industry by designing numerous textile prints and graphic art. She has created graphics for various clothing lines of clients such as Target, Kmart, Kohl's, Sears, and Walmart. Meanwhile, she has worked on paintings with acrylic and gouache and developed her distinctive illustration style. In recent years her bold illustrations constantly appear on The New Yorker Magazine.
