"Your first 10,000 Photographs are your worst" - Henri Cartier-Bresson.
Thankfully, I've passed that milestone!
My name is Tony Armstrong. I have a passion for creating beautiful images in the fashion, music portraiture and performance genres. I've crafted images for print media (advertising and editorial), as well as online campaigns and editorials.
I dig cinematic lighting, vibrant color, weird angles, shadows, sultry looks, and raw sex appeal. I also dig hard light (no need for just softboxes in shoots), fashion as art, and over-the-top make-up. Sometimes I like "ugly," because it's different and more eye-catching than just pretty. The beauty dish, the Octa Softbox (when I have to use it), the magnum reflector, the ring-light (Profoto all the way), creative people, comic books, muscle cars, good music (of all genres), confident models with ATTITUDE, and a good slice of pepperoni pizza!
My only goal is the expression of my artistic tastes, creating images that capture the attention and admiration of the viewer.
