Vernita is a makeup artist starting in 2006 and located in the DC Metro area. Her work was featured in the Spring 2011 On Makeup Magazine by The Powder Group. January 2010, Vernita's artistry was also featured in The Business of Professional Modeling publication. During 2010, she also started a blog, Vernita's Makeup Blog to provide tips related to the beauty industry and welcomes your subscription and comments!

Vernita has provided makeup artistry for Couture Fashion Week, Spring 2009 collection during New York Fashion Week in September 2008.
She has also been part of the crew as assistant makeup artist for two production in 2009 and 2010 by Fruits of the Spirit Productions, Inc. headed by Arlette Fletcher, Baltimore, Maryland. She was also assistant makeup artist in 2011 for two short films.

Vernita is a member of several makeup and fashion groups throughout the US. Her portfolio shows an eye for bringing out the natural beauty as well as the creative edge in makeup. She also collaborates with her husband, Lonnie Dawkins Photography for portraits. Vernita will artistically enhance your natural features to achieve the final touch.
