Vlad Voloshin is a New York based photographer. Born in Moscow, he originally started out in the medical field and then, after graduation from college and extensive soul searching, went on to study art history at the University of Pittsburgh. Two years of full immersion into art theory, eventually led to a career in photography. After a move to New York City, almost a decade ago, he exclusively concentrated on photography adding video as an additional artistic medium, in the past three years. In his photographic work, Vlad explores filmic stereotypes from the golden age of Hollywood (1930-40s), as well as portraiture, mythologies, and art of pinup. His work has been exhibited in New York and Rome and was printed in many magazines: American Photo, Bang Art, Secret to name a few.
